Senator the Hon. Arnold J. Nicholson, QC, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade yesterday (Tuesday, May 12) received the Copy Letters of Credentials from the non-resident Ambassador-designate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Gima Birru Geda, at the Ministry's New Kingston Offices.
Ambassador Birru, who is also Ambassador and Special Envoy to the United States of America, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning (from the Institute of Social Studies) in The Hague, Netherlands.
In his congratulatory remark at the Europe Day reception at the Strathmore Great House last Thursday, Senator the Hon. Arnold J. Nicholson, QC, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade noted that the European Union had created, "an area of freedom, security and justice without internal frontiers and established an internal market and economic and monetary union."...
